Child HR case

Hi all,

I have a question regarding child HR case. 

I have defined a Service Activity as Child HR case (Account Notification)on one HR service (Test HR service), but when this HR service (Test HR service) is created, the child HR service (Account Notification) is not created. 

Do you know why? How child HR service should be created by using Service Activity?

Hi Oliver,

you need to change the fulfillment type of the parent HR service to "Service Activity". Once a new case is instantiated, its state needs to be changed to "Ready" and the case should be assigned to a worker, then the child cases should be generated.

Thank you for the reply. I did exactly the same setup. I have the HR service as Service Activity and create a new case, set it to Ready and assigned to a person, but unfortunately the child HR service is still not created. I am not sure why 😞

Hmm. Have you tried / confirmed in another instance that it's working? If so trouble shooting is hard without access and you may need to log a ticket in HI. There are a bunch of business rules, if i remember correctly, that trigger the creation of the child cases and tasks. Next i would take a look there and confirm they are configured as intended - compare those to an ootb instance. And as mentioned please mark responses as helpful or correct if community members spend time to help you. Thank you, Christian

On second thought, I noticed that you seem to use the ootb "Account Notification". Can you try with another one and see if that works? "Account Notification" has - I believe - some hidden functionality that may prevent it to work the way you want it.
