Create New Case "Opened for", "Subject Person" and read-only relationship of items

Hi,

please tell me.

When a HR representative creates a case with "Create New Case", the values for "Opened for" and "Subject Person" don't enter.
I set "Opened for" and "Subject Person" as read-only in Global settings.

Is this a conflict?
How should it be set?

Hello Mi,

What the use case for having the "Opened by" and "Subject person" read-only on the Case creation page?

Instead of making them read-only on the global setting, have you tried to set the read-only thru a UI policy on the HR Case table? I did test it and it worked. I will not make the "Opened by" and "Subject person" read-only on the Case creation page.

I took an OOTB UI policy and added the opened by to it and it worked.

If my answer helped you, mark it as correct and helpful.

Hi, Ankur Bawiskar

Thank you for your reply.

This feature was created by OOTB and I haven't changed any settings.

My guess is that the user selected in Search for Employees appears to appear in Opened for and Subject Person.

Where should I look?

Regards,

Hi,

below is the screenshot from my personal instance; that's correct; opened for and subject person gets populated with the employee you search

check UI page with name as 'case_creation'

Mark Correct if this solves your issue and also mark 👍 Helpful if you find my response worthy based on the impact.
Thanks
