Create New Case "Opened for", "Subject Person" and read-only relationship of items

Hi,

please tell me.

When a HR representative creates a case with "Create New Case", the values for "Opened for" and "Subject Person" don't enter.
I set "Opened for" and "Subject Person" as read-only in Global settings.

Is this a conflict?
How should it be set?

Hello Mi,

What the use case for having the "Opened by" and "Subject person" read-only on the Case creation page?

Instead of making them read-only on the global setting, have you tried to set the read-only thru a UI policy on the HR Case table? I did test it and it worked. I will not make the "Opened by" and "Subject person" read-only on the Case creation page.

I took an OOTB UI policy and added the opened by to it and it worked.

If my answer helped you, mark it as correct and helpful.

Hi Mi,

In you instance there could be some changes had made for case creation configuration. That's why it is not showing subject person and opened for.

Just search for "Case Creation Configuration" in navigation and click on it. Then click on Case Creation tab and add fields in Right task fields

Screenshot is attached for your reference.

Hi, Sufiyan Memon

Thank you for answering.
I looked at my settings and they were the same settings as your screenshot.

After I added the following settings in Global (checked for read only for opened for and subject person), this symptom began to occur.
・opened for

・subject person

Hello MI,

instead of make those fields read only in the global setting. I would create a UI policy on the table you wish to have them read-only. What's the use case for making it ready only in the "create new case" ui page?

I tested it and it populated the "opened by" from the "create new case" to the case and make the "opened for" read only
