Create tasks using Service Activities

Hello,

I need to automatically create three tasks every time a certain case is submitted. I have created the service with the fulfillment type of Service Activity. Then in the Service Activities related list tab, I added three activities with Task as the Activity type. I also created HR Templates for the tasks. When I submit the case, the tasks are not being created. Does anyone know what I've done wrong or if there is additional configuration required?

@michaelj_sherid Thanks again for your response. When I change the Activity type on the HR Service to be Child HR Service then I also have to select a Child HR Service which I do not have. I am trying to generate HR Tasks from a case, not child cases. I thought I could use Service Activities to create tasks.

@Suzanne H I must have misunderstood. Can you include a print screen of the HR Task configuration. I was under the assumption that HR Task was submitting an HR Service. If this is not the case, we would need to understand how you have this configured.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'HR Task configuration'. I shared images of the HR Service configuration and I'll attach a screenshot of one of the HR Templates.

I want three tasks to be created every time a case is submitted using a certain service. I created an HR Service, and I added three tasks to the Service Activities to it and I created an HR Template for each task. That's all I've done, so I must be missing something.

Hi @Suzanne H What I am interested in are the HR Template configurations. I saw the images you attached where they are part of the Service Activities related list. I believe the details of the HR Templates (I referred to as the HR Task configuration) are the areas that may be impacting why it is not working.

If you can include a print screen image of all 3 HR Templates (in the New UI View) I should be able to isolate what is happening.
