Currency field - how to prevent it from converting

I have a Tuition Reimbursement record producer that references a table on the HR Profile, for eligible amount, amount used, and amount remaining.  These fields display on the HR Case.  When reimbursement is approved, we enter a reimbursement amount, which then updates the table on the HR Profile.  We recently switched the management of these tuition reimbursement cases from the US to a team in another country.

We now see the currency/reimbursement amounts being converted when the agent outside the US completes any tasks on the case.

The tuition reimbursement program is only available in the US.  Is there a way I can keep these currency fields set at USD and not have them convert based on the user's locale?  IT uses currency fields, so I do not want to change global properties that would impact all users.

Can you configure the fx_configuration record for your table and field to display as entered and not convert?
