We have 2 employees with the exact same name (but different employee #, therefore 2 different persons). One of them has already HR cases, the other doesn't. For some reason ServiceNow connected 2employee profiles below one HR Profile, now there are 2 employee profile from 2 different accounts in one HR Profile. If I'm navigation to the employee profile table I can't delete the wrongly connected data entry ("delete" is greyed out).
If clicking on view linked profiles the shown table is empty.
When one of the employees is trying to send an HR Service an error message appears that an HR Profile with a combination of this name, last name & e-mail already exists. The user also doesn't see the created record, but in the backend it shows the created case but all fields are empty except opened by & description (coe etc.).
How do I disconnect the employee profiles withing the HR profile? Thanks for your help!

Hi @kbuder ,
Have you verified the User field in both the HR Profile and the Employee Profile?
Please note that the HR Profile and Employee Profile are not directly linked to each other, they are connected through the User field, which references the User table.
Could you please share screenshots of the error?

Hi @anandmahaja,
please see attached. If I'm trying to change the wrong user (2nd) one the error message from the screenshot appears.
Deleting is not possible. There should only be one record be displayed, I am not sure how the second profile got connected here.

Hello @kbuder
If multiple Employee Profiles are mapped to a single HR Profile and one of them is incorrect, you can resolve this by clearing the HR Profile field on the incorrect Employee Profile record.
Steps:

Open the Employee Profile record that is incorrectly mapped.

Clear the value in the HR Profile field.

Save the record.
Once cleared, the incorrect mapping will be removed and the correct Employee Profile–HR Profile relationship will remain intact.
In the screenshot, the incorrect Employee Profile should have its HR Profile field cleared, which will fix the duplication.
