E‑bonding between two ServiceNow instances – possibility of sending a ticket back to the source system
Use Case
HR cases in Instance 1 are e‑bonded with IT requests in Instance 2.
- In Instance 1, an HRIT Task is created under an HR Case and sent to Instance 2 through e‑bonding.
- Instance 2 receives this and creates an RITM.
- Instance 2 then sends a success response back to Instance 1, including the RITM reference number.
- The RITM is processed by the IT support team working in Instance 2.
Problem
There are scenarios where the IT support team in Instance 2 cannot fulfill the request. In such cases, they want to send the ticket back to the HR team in Instance 1.
Question:
Is there a way to send the RITM / HRIT Task back to Instance 1 (the source system) without building a reverse e‑bonding integration?
