For whom HR case is opened only that person is not able to see that HR case through Default View

Hello,

 

I have an issue regarding Employee Relations table of HRSD, in which user for whom the HR case is raised on this table that user is not able to see the HR Case through Default View for that user auto view coming  is Self-Service when user try to change the view , able to select all other view except this Default View.

 

Kindly suggest on this.

Hi Ashwini,

 

To confirm, you want the person that opened the ER case to be able to see the case from the Self-Service application in the platform view of ServiceNow and not from Employee Center.  Is that accurate?  Most modules under Self-Service have the "View" defined on them to limit which view can be used.  If you have a specific module for ER cases, you can set the View to default instead of ess.

Thank you for your reply, but  there is no View set for this ER Cases related module, and also no view rule on this Employee relation table still view is populating as Self Service.  

I do see one ER View Rule -Non-HR employees only see ESS view" for no Employee.  Can you check whether this user has HR reader role (sn_hr_core.case_reader) assigned to him>

Employees should not have the case_reader role assigned to them. 

Is your user listed as an involved party on the ER case or the subject person?  OOB, ER cases are not visible to involved parties (i.e., those on the involved parties related list; e.g., subject of allegation).   The exception being if the user is the Opened for and just the Complainant involved party.  You can view this logic in the er_SecurityUtilsBase script include.

The HR Service for the case will determine if the subject person can see the case or not.
