Granular delegation

Hi friends,

Can anyone help me understand how exactly the delegate user criteria in a Delegation rule works ? When we specify a Delegate criteria in a delegation rule, I don't find a place where it shows only those users satisfying the criteria who we can select as delegates. Any help is deeply appreciated.

Hi @muktha1 ,

You can create or add existing under "Delegate User Criteria", if you click new -> you can add roles, groups even script logic.

Hi Hemanth,

Thanks for your reply. My question is after we create the user criteria (Example- Delegates should be users belonging to Department A), where is it restricting us to select users other than department A? Please advise.

Hi @muktha1 ,

You can do this/verify this in couple ways

1. Under the delegate tab (After you add the Delegate User Criteria) - you will only be see users meeting criteria i.e Users = Department A

Ex: I choose Department - "Accounting and Finance" and now i am able to see only users having this department to select under Delegate tab

2. you can go and create "My Delegate" with Start, End date and Pick a user(Delegate) and you only able to pick delegate rule matching user/delegate selected.

Thank you so much for your reply. One more quick question. Delegation rules will have many records. Each of them if they have delegate user criteria , that criteria is applicable for that particular condition in the delegation rule. In that case will My delegates  show all the users belonging to all the Delegate user criteria under the delegation rules?
