How Do I Upload a GIF to a Knowledge Base Article?

I'm trialing the demo environment for ServiceNow and am trying to add a GIF to my knowledge article but keep getting the error that the file isn't recognized (see below)

When I upload as an image...it works but it's so pixelated it's not really readable.

I've tried looking at the product documentation knowledge base but haven't really found any 'How to's' for this?  Though I'm not a navigation whiz so maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Amelia

You can upload a .gif using the Insert image popup, but not using the Insert video popup you are showing.

The button on the left here:

Ok - thank you! And any idea about the quality when uploading as an image? Is super pixelated and not really worth showing on my browser.  Maybe I need to compress the file or something?

Thanks so much!

The quality is unchanged for the images I tested uploading (up to 6.4MB in size photos).

Are the images you're using low quality before uploading?

If the quality of the photo is low and super pixelated before you upload, then the quality will be the same after uploading. You could try making the image render smaller to hide the quality, or just use higher quality images.

If the quality of the photo is high before uploading, then I am not sure.

I'm not sure what might be causing the pixelation other than maybe an issue with the scale of the GIF when it's placed into the HTML editor.  Any chance you could include the GIF as an attachment here so that I could download it and test it myself?
