Hi Team -
can anyone please help me on this task .
where exactly i need to remove and what to to be added
please provide me tables names
Hi Community,
I have an HRSD requirement to remove the existing A&P routing and security rules for employees with employee class APN and APX.
The acceptance criteria says:
- APN/APX employees should be routed by department to the existing Employee Relations Consultant or Triage groups, similar to employees with CLS employee class.
- APN/APX requests should be visible to the entire Employee Relations team (ER – Employee Relations, group 592000).
- NEFR Appeals should continue routing to ER – AVP Mailbox for all employees.
- General ER Inquiry should continue routing to ER – Triage for all employees/persons not in the database.
Configuration I found
I found an Assignment Rule – ER Leadership Group on the sn_hr_er_case table.
The existing condition was:
Subject person.Department.ID is one of:
592000
593000
593001
OR Employee Class is APN
OR Employee Class is APX
AND Assignment group is empty
The rule assigns the case to:
ER - Leadership
I removed the APN and APX conditions from this Assignment Rule in DEV so that the rule now only uses the department conditions.
I also found:
HR Condition: ER Leadership
Employee class is APN
OR
Employee class is APXThis HR Condition is associated with:
HR Criteria: ER Leadership
and a related User Criteria: ER Leadership (HR Criteria).
My question
What is the correct approach to fulfill this requirement?
- Is removing APN/APX from the ER Leadership Assignment Rule the correct routing change?
- Should the ER Leadership HR Condition / HR Criteria / User Criteria also be deactivated or removed?
- Where should I look for the A&P security rule that currently restricts APN/APX case visibility?
- What is the recommended way to make APN/APX cases visible to the entire ER – Employee Relations group 592000 while preserving the NEFR and General ER Inquiry exceptions?
I want to make the change using the existing HRSD configuration rather than creating unnecessary Business Rules or scripts.
Thanks.

Hi nameisnani,
Taking APN and APX out of the ER Leadership assignment rule will change the routing, but only if no other active rule matches first. Worth checking the order on the other assignment rules on sn_hr_er_case as well.
For visibility, the A&P restriction is most likely a COE Security Policy. Go to HR Administration, COE Security Configuration, filter on the Employee Relations COE, and look for an active policy whose Applies when condition uses employee class. Only the groups on that policy can see those cases. If nothing turns up there, search the read ACLs and before query business rules on sn_hr_er_case for employee_class.
I wouldn't deactivate the HR Conditions or HR Criteria until you know where else they're used. They often get shared with services, content and user criteria scripts, so check first and just take them off this policy if they are.
A couple of questions:
1. Which release are you on?
2. Did your team build the A&P rules, or did they come with the original implementation?
3. Should group 592000 see all ER cases, or only the APN and APX ones?
If that works for you, mind marking it as the recommended solution? Helps me support these better for the community.
