I would like to clarify the OOTB behavior of attachments when an HR Case is transferred to another HR Case.
We observed the following behavior:
- An attachment is originally added to the old HR Case by User A.
- The HR Case is then transferred to a new HR Case by User B.
- The attachment is carried over to the new HR Case.
- On the new/transferred HR Case, User B appears to be the one who uploaded the attachment.
I would like to confirm the following:
- Is this the expected OOTB behavior in ServiceNow HRSD?
When attachments are copied from the original HR Case to the newly transferred HR Case, is the user who performs the transfer recorded as the uploader of the copied attachment? - Original Case Attachment Information:
On the original/old HR Case, should the attachment continue to show User A (the original uploader) as the uploader, even after the case and attachment have been transferred/copied to the new HR Case?
If this is indeed OOTB behavior, could someone point me to the relevant ServiceNow documentation, script/include, or process that handles the attachment transfer?
