Roles in HRSD

Hi experts,

I have unclarity about the roles in HRSD. There are many user roles such as-

Alumni employee

[sn_hr_core.hrsm_alumni]

Grants role to the employee who has left the company.
  • None
Contingent employee

[sn_hr_core.hrsm_contingent]

Grants role to the employee who works temporary.
  • None
Contractor employee

[sn_hr_core.hrsm_contractor]

Grants role to the employee who works as a contractor.
  • None
Full-time employee

[sn_hr_core.hrsm_employee]

Grants role to the full-time employee.
  • None
New hire employee

[sn_hr_core.hrsm_new_hire]

Grants role to the employee who is newly hired.

What access does these roles have and how do they differ from each other. When I created a user with No role, that user can access Employee Service center. Also, what access Security Information reader/writer has?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Thanks for reply!

Yes, went through the SNOW docs, but it is not significantly specified there.

Hi Kalyani,

I believe you need to take the course of HR fundamentals to know this.

I didn't find any link

These roles are there to assist you in securing things like HR Services, Catalog Items, Knowledge, and ESC content.  Part of your lifecycle events (i.e. onboarding, offboarding) can be to auto-assign the appropriate role(s) to the users.  These roles do not have to be used, if not needed.
