Sn_hr_core.impersonateCheck setting restricts viewing case description in scheduled report

Hi all,

Our system property sn_hr_core.impersonateCheck is set to true. This causes the field rich_description to not give results in a scheduled report about HR cases. The scheduled report runs as an HR admin role.

How can we fix this? Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,
Evelien

Hello,

I don't think that will impact one field, It should either impact all or nothing, can you create Read ACL on that field and leave it blank so that everyone can have read access ?

Please hit like and mark my response as correct if that helps

Hello Musab,

I am sure it's because of sn_hr_core.impersonateCheck. If this setting is set to false, problem is solved. I think as well that it's a combination with the read ACL on that field. We use the OOTB ACL's for sn_hr_core_case. For sn_hr_core_case.rich_description Admin Overrides is set to false. What do you think about changing this setting to true?

Hi Evelien,

This property will impact several things for similar reasons (or did on previous releases).  The rich_description and description fields are usually in sync.  Before changing the ACL though, consider which fields are on the HR Case forms, and how are they getting populated, as well as if the system admin has access to HR cases.  Some companies choose to remove sn_hr_core.admin role from the admin role to prevent IT and others having access to sensitive HR data.
