Variables editor for HR Task

Dear Experts,

I am looking for a way to add variables editor on the HR Task, I configured the formatters in System UI, but it is not working. My requirement is like below.

1. The user submits a record producer to create a case
2. HR Task 1 is created and assigned to the manager of the subject person
3. The manager should have the ability to adjust the variables in the variables editor section. This is to correct the information submitted by the user.
4. HR Task 1 will be closed by the manager
5. HR Task 2 will be created and assigned to the respective payroll team for action. Variables editor should be present here too.
6. The payroll team closes HR Task 2 which will complete the case

I am planning to handle HR task creation via a workflow.

Please advise on the variables editor for HR Tasks.
