Hi everyone! I am currently transitioning my career to HRIS, leveraging my previous experience with ServiceNow in HR roles.  I have recently completed the Welcome to ServiceNow and HRSD Fundamentals courses. My question is: as professionals,  what certifications, advanced training, or specific platform skills would you recommend prioritizing to stand out to employers or to get my foot in the door? What should my next steps or research positions be as a beginner in the field?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @CR81 ,

Since you already have HR experience and have completed the ServiceNow HRSD Fundamentals course, I would recommend focusing on practical HRSD skills along with certifications. Start by strengthening your knowledge of HRSD Case Management, Employee Service Center, HR Services, HR Criteria, COEs, Lifecycle Events, Knowledge Management, and basic ServiceNow administration concepts such as ACLs, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer. CSA would be a good foundational certification, followed by CIS-HR as you gain more hands-on experience. I’d also recommend building a few real-world HRSD projects in a Personal Developer Instance and documenting them for your portfolio.  Since you already have HR domain knowledge, combining that with ServiceNow HRSD expertise can be a strong differentiator.

If this helps you then mark it as helpful and accept as solution.

Regards,

Aditya
