Worker information changes after the Onboarding case is created and the Onboarding case is outdated

Issue: Worker information changes after the Onboarding case is created and the Onboarding case has original/stale data. What do other customers do to solve this?   

 

Scenario:

Future dated new hire is added to our HR system (Workday)   

The LCE event (Onboarding case) is created in Service Now.   

Later, worker information changes (ex: start date, hiring manager) and is updated in Workday.   

Information flows over successfully to the HR profile in Service Now.   

The original Onboarding case doesn’t reflect any of the new information (change of start date, hiring manager).  It is out of synch with the HR system and HR profile.

 

Question:

Are you able to update the OBD case to reflect above changes and match the expected experience? If so, how?

Are you manually forcing the change in the OB Case?

Are you cancelling the original OBD case and creating a new OBD case?
