Here I am, for a second time. It feels unreal to sit here and write these lines among so many inspiring individuals from across the ServiceNow Community.

The reason I’m here? The Community itself.

Back in 2017, when I started my ServiceNow Journey as a Trainee at Computacenter, I was looking for someone to guide me, someone with experience outside of my day-to-day work. I started looking at the Community, still a bit shy to even contribute to it, and quickly found what I was looking for: A Meetup. The catch? It took place in Munich, while I was based in Düsseldorf.

I started looking for a way to contact ServiceNow and after some emails with the Community Team I was given the opportunity to start my own Meetup Chapter in Düsseldorf. Throughout the years the Meetup changed several times.

What started as small gatherings in an office grew into larger groups, with participants even joining from Amsterdam.

What matters is the knowledge sharing, the learning and connections that come with those Meetups. Every Meetup brings new inspiration, new connections and new learnings inside an ecosystem that is changing daily.

Lately I’ve partnered with the Meetup Chapter in Hamburg to try something new: a virtual lunch roulette. The initial feedback was great, and we are excited to continue offering this format in the future.

Meetups are only one expression of something much bigger within the ServiceNow ecosystem. The strength of the ServiceNow Community comes to life in different ways. Some individuals are great in sharing their latest learnings through blogs, others focus on videos or other ways of sharing content. My power? Bringing people together in real life. That’s why I started the Meetup Chapter and that’s what I’ll continue to do.

Have a look at the global Meetup page to learn more about Meetups: Developer Meetups - ServiceNow Community and don't forget to follow the Rheinland Meetup.
