In my last blog, I reviewed the mainline Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Specialist (CAS) certifications. In this week’s blog, I will cover the Micro Certification program and available micro-certifications. Micro‑certifications validate your expertise in newer or niche areas with non‑proctored exams. ServiceNow expertise is tremendously valuable and in demand and as organizations scale and utilize ServiceNow in more ways than ever before. Getting micro-certifications in specialized areas can help you validate and gain confidence in your unique set of skills. Additionally, many of the courses associated with micro-certifications are available to you to take free of charge!
Each Micro Certification certifies that a successful candidate has the skills and essential knowledge to contribute to the configuration, implementation, and administration of the respective ServiceNow application. Please note that for each Micro Certification ServiceNow requires the completion of a prerequisite training course(s) in preparation for the exam. Information provided in the associated ServiceNow training course(s) contain source material for each exam.

- Agile Development 2.0 and Test Management 2.0 Implementation - To prepare for this assessment, complete the pre-requisite free, On Demand course titled Agile Development 2.0 & Test Management 2.0 Implementation.
- Application Portfolio Management Fundamentals – To prepare for this assessment, complete the pre-requisite free, On Demand course titled Application Portfolio Management (APM) Fundamentals.
- Asset Model Management - To prepare for this assessment, complete one of the pre-requisite courses titled Asset Model Management or Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Fundamentals.
- Automated Test Framework Fundamentals - To prepare for this assessment, complete the pre-requisite free, On Demand course titled Automated Test Framework (ATF) Fundamentals.
- Customer Service Management with Service Management for Implementers - To prepare for this assessment, complete the pre-requisite courses titled: ServiceNow Fundamentals, Customer Service Management Fundamentals, and Customer Service Management (CSM) with Service Management for Implementers.
- Enterprise Onboarding and Transitions - To prepare for this assessment, complete the pre-requisite free, On Demand course titled Configuring the Lifecycle Events Application for Human Resources (HR) (New York).
- Flow Designer Fundamentals - To prepare for this assessment, complete the pre-requisite free, On Demand course titled Flow Designer Fundamentals.
- Human Resources Integrations - To prepare for this assessment, complete the pre-requisite free, On Demand course titled Configuring Human Resources (HR) Integrations.

Simulator Assessments
Newly launched are a new type of Micro-Certification which are set up as simulators. Successfully completing the simulator results in the award of a micro-certification. Assessment simulators allow you to show your knowledge by reading a scenario, doing the work to meet a set of requirements based on the scenario, and verifying your work is done correctly. Currently, we have two assessment simulators for you to choose from with more coming soon! - Configure the CMDB – To prepare for this simulator assessment, you must be enrolled on the CMDB Fundamentals path and complete the pre-requisite free, On Demand course titled Configure the Configuration Management (CMDB).
- CMDB Health – To prepare for this simulator assessment, you must be enrolled on the CMDB Fundamentals path and complete the pre-requisite free, On Demand course titled Maintain the Health of the CMDB.
