Diffrence between form design and for builder

Hi @SrinivasS218965,

Form Designer: a visual, drag‑and‑drop layout tool for designing the form structure (fields, sections, rows/columns)

Form Builder: a more advanced, all‑in‑one visual editor that combines layout with deeper configuration, UI policy visibility, and field settings, and is now the preferred tool in recent releases

Hope this helps!

Hi @SrinivasS218965

Form Builder (Modern) : Form Builder offers a more modern user experience and faster layout management compared to the classic Form Designer.

  • Best for: Newer workspace-focused, responsive, component-based forms, working in Agent Workspace, or needing a live, responsive preview of the final user experience.
  • Interface: User-friendly, visual, drag-and-drop with real-time previews.
  • Key Advantage: Provides an accurate representation of how the form will look in Next Experience or Agent Workspace.
  • Location: Accessed via Configure -> Form Builder in modern views.

Form Designer (Classic) : Form Designer is a classic, drag-and-drop tool for configuring platform-level forms

Best for: For legacy platform forms, complex layouts requiring detailed section control, or when working outside the modern Workspace.

  • Interface: Classic, web-based drag-and-drop interface.
  • Capabilities: Good for adding/reordering fields, sections, related lists, and formatters.
  • Location: Accessed via Configure -> Form Design
