Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone has done all the Category and Subcategories as "dependant" fields. We currently only have the "subcategory" dependant on the "Category", but we wish to make the "Category" dependant on the Business Service. I know obvioudly I can update the Category field to be dependant on the Business Service, but I am thinking ahead. What if we wanted different subcategory options displayed under the same Category, but for different Business Services, how would we achieve that?, is it possible?
I have tried to explain a little more in the picture below:-
So in the picture above we have the subcategory option of "Expired" when the Business Service is "SAP" and "Category" is Account. But if the Business Service is "Enactor" then we dont want "Expired" to be a displayed option to choose from. (make sense?). I dont want to have to create client scripts for every business Service to show and hide options, that is just not a vaibel option, as it would need lookign after all the time. On the face of it if we could add another "dependant field option", that would solve the issue

Hii @jonathangilbert
I think you’ll need to write a Client Script for this kind of requirement. There’s no direct or out-of-the-box (OOTB) way to handle it, so a custom approach is necessary."

I think it can be done but I won't recommend doing that even if you are able to achieve that.
