Hi Developers,
I'm trying to learn Portal from scratch as I have 0 knowledge about it.
Please guide me on how I can add Impersonator option under Profile on portal page in very simple & understandable way.
Also request you to please try to explain what each line would be doing & guide me on how I can learn Portal configurations.
Please don't suggest links like this, It's difficult to understand.
Thank You

Not sure what you expect and how we can teach you to do portal configurations in a community post. For your specific requirement, you should look at the update set on the share that do precisely what you are requiring, and is also linked to in the other post: https://developer.servicenow.com/connect.do#!/share/contents/6416148_service_portal_impersonate_dial...
Make sure to login to the developer portal before clicking the link.
Best thing you can do is reverse-engineer the widgets and how they are connected. There is no way we can teach you portal development in an "easy" way. Take a look at this course (also on developer), that can begin your portal development journey: https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/learn/courses/rome/app_store_learnv2_serviceportal_rome_se...
Best regards,
Sebastian Laursen

While I've seen impersonator options added to portals, I've never seen the point.
Generally if I am building or working on a portal, I have it open in a new tab. Then I just use the impersonate feature from the main platform UI(which is in a tab)
When you impersonate through the platform, just refresh the browser tab with the portal and it will take up the impersonation.
