Include Previous Email Content in Workbench for Recurring Communication Tasks

In my current project, I'm implementing Major Incident Management for handling major incidents. As part of this, I have created a new Communication Plan Definition, which includes a Communication Task Definition with a recurring communication frequency containing a email client template.  

Now, the requirement is:  

- Whenever an update is initiated through the Workbench, the email should also include the previously sent email content from the same communication task.  

I would like to know:  

1. Is there a standard way to fetch and append the last sent email in the next communication update?  

2. How can I retrieve the last email content from the same communication task?  

3. Would scripting be required, or is there any OOTB functionality to achieve this?  

Has anyone implemented a similar use case before? Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
