Need to make a specific variable editable on the variable section of incident in service portal

Hi All,

 

I have a specific requirement where when an incident is submitted through a record producer and in the portal when you open the incident created, you will see under the details tab all the selections users had made to the variables.

 

Now I want to make only one variable as editable out of all the variables. How can I make it possible on the portal?

not possible and not a good practice.

Portal simply shows the variables and it's values which user submitted and allowing end user to change it later on is not recommended.

There might be multiple flows, business rules etc which are configured to work as per that variable value and changing it later on will impact your process.
