Notifications - Is Triggering on 'SYSLOG' Table Possible?

Hope this is the correct forum for this question, but if it is not, please feel free to redirect me-

I am currently attempting to trigger a notification on the "syslog" table, but am not able to do so - is this not possible?

Its a very simple notification but maybe I am missing something - here is what I have configured, if needed:

Note that I have set the condition to something that is populating the SYSLOG table every couple of minutes, yet, a notification has not yet been triggered.

I also confirmed that the email is not sitting out in the email logs.
