I am facing issue when trying to filter incidents by the parent incident's Sys ID. When I apply the filter in the incident list view, it shows no results, even though I am sure there are child incidents linked to the specified parent incident.
the steps I followed:
Added a condition: Parent is <specific Sys ID> (I copied the Sys ID directly from the parent incident's record).

Hi @Rishabh_N ,
The relationship between parent and child incident is established on the 'Parent Incident' field.
Example:
Here, INC0000002 is parent and 3 are child incidents.
Let's take a look in the list view. Here, it will be clear under which field it is showing the relationship.
So, we have to filter like below to get the child incidents:
Filter with Number:
Filter with sysID:

Thanks for providing the reference.
Please follow the below and see if that works:
Right click on 'Parent Incident = INC****', then open in a new window:
Then it should show the correct child incidents under it. It is just a way around of same thing.

The sysID of record is showing but the other details related to it are missing. Did you imported the XML of record and imported it in this instance? OR captured in update set and move it? These could be the possible cause of this issue.
Although you can double click on Parent Incident field(where it is showing empty now) and check if entering the parent incident number is getting populated or not.

Thank you so much for your reply I really appreciate it.
I am trying to filter incidents by the parent incident in the incident list view, but I am getting no results. Here is what I did:
- Navigated to the Incident list view
- Opened the filter conditions
- Added a condition : parent is INC0010213
Despite this, the filter shows empty results even though I know it has child incidents.
I have also attached a screenshot of the filter I applied.
Additionally, when I open a child incident, I don't see the parent incident number in the child incident. However, the parent incident is there because when I click on the (i) information button, it shows the parent incident details.
Am I missing something?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
