3-Step Process: The 3-step process involves breaking down the user interaction into three distinct steps:
Ordering: In this step, the user selects the desired service or item from the Service Catalog. They might specify options, quantities, or other relevant details for the request.
Cart: Once the user has selected the items or services they need, they proceed to the cart. Here, they review their selections, make any necessary adjustments, and add any additional comments or notes.
Checkout: The final step involves confirming the order. The user might specify delivery details, approve any associated costs, and complete the request.
2-Step Process: The 2-step process aims to simplify the user experience by reducing the number of interactions:
- Ordering and Checkout: In this approach, the user combines the ordering and checkout steps into a single step. Users select the service or item they need and provide any required details, including delivery information and cost approval, all within a single page.
Difference between the Two: The primary difference between the 3-step process and the 2-step process is the number of interactions or steps users go through when making a request:
3-Step Process: This process provides more granularity and separation between ordering, cart review, and checkout. It allows users to make adjustments before finalizing the order and provides a more traditional shopping cart experience.
2-Step Process: This process streamlines the user experience by combining ordering and checkout into a single step. It reduces the time and effort required to complete the request, which can be particularly beneficial for simple and straightforward requests.

Hi @Shaik22 ,
This is available in Order guide of servicenow.
When the Two step option in order guide is selected, the Check Out step is omitted to provide a quicker two-step process. Therefore, when clicking on Checkout in the order guide, the request is submitted immediately and the order confirmation screen is displayed.
By default, order guides present the customer with a three-step ordering process:
- Describe Needs: Enter information as prompted. Order guide rules evaluate this information to determine which catalog items to order.
- Choose Options: Select configuration options for the ordered items and provide any additional information needed.
- Check Out: Review and edit item information, then click Submit Order to place the request.

If I given answer for your question , please mark this correct and mark as helpful.

Akanksha
