I need help. I want the assignment group to be auto fill to the our svcdesk group. when they create an incident in operation workspace what is the simplest way to accomplish this.

The best way to achieve this is by using an Assignment Rule.
You can configure the rule so that the assignment group is automatically populated when an incident is created.
For example, you could validate the channel through which the incident was created and, based on that channel, assign it to the appropriate group — in your case, the Service Desk group.
This approach is simple, scalable, and follows ServiceNow best practices.
