Hi there,
Want to get hands-on with ServiceNow Now Assist? How?! Since it's not available for Personal Developer Instances, nor for most (subproduction) customer instances... you might have read it in my previous article, you can request a lab instance with Now Assist on Now Learning! Oke, it's not a Personal Developer Instances, nor a subproduction customer instance, though at least you can get hands-on with ServiceNow Now Assist.
Now Assist for Creator Implementation Bootcamp On Demand
When logged in to ServiceNow Now Learning, search for "now assist for creator implementation bootcamp on demand". This is a free course, described as "Learn how to implement Now Assist for Creator from ServiceNow's Product specialists." As you might notice under the syllabus section, two parts are on hands-on labs! Hands-on, on a ServiceNow lab instance 😀
Now Platform lab instance
When reviewing the Now Assist for Creator Implementation Bootcamp On Demand course, the Course Orientation & Navigation screen will be opened. It's hard to miss, though in the upper part of the main screen "Request Lab Instance" is hard to miss, and on the lower part of the main screen, a few instructions are mentioned on requesting a Lab Instance.
When requesting a Lab Instance, initially it will be available for almost 4 days, at when it will expire. Notice that when requesting a Lab Instance, there is a link to "Request Expiry Extension". This link lets you increase the expiration time, up to a maximum of almost 18 days!
Lab Instance terminated
And what if the Lab Instance is terminated? Because simply time has run out, or you wanted to have a look again at Now Assist after a few weeks. No worries, you can simply request a new Lab Instance. Also when you already completed the Now Assist for Creator Implementation Bootcamp on Demand course, you can request a new Lab Instance.

That's it. Hope you like it. If any questions or remarks, let me know!

Hi @ajaypoonja - yes there is a limit. I think it's a maximum of 2 Now Learning lab instances running at any one time. (Although, I could be wrong, it might be 3).

@Simon Hendery Thank you so much for the response. However, this seems to be a different issue. I am new to servicenow ecosystem and I enrolled myself to servicenow Fundamentals on demand course. However, when i click on request Instance, I get following error message. I do not believe i have any other active instance running concurrently
.

Hi @ajaypoonja - Ok ... It seems something has gone wrong so I suggest you do as they suggest and submit a case. Log into Now Learning, click on 'Help Center' and then 'Create a Case'. The help desk are pretty good at resolving these issues, although be prepared to wait a couple of days for a response from them.

I installed the NowLearning instance today but Now Assist was not installed by default.
Has this workaround being disabled like the PDI ?.

Shay.

Hi @Shay Ryan - I just activated the course instance to check, and everything seems to be working fine as per @Mark Roethof's description:
Note the course instructions include details on how to activate certain functions, e.g.:
So you might want to ensure you go through the relevant instructions.
If you're still having problems, let us know.

Is this still relevant? I cannot find this course in English. I'm assuming that you can just configure the instance for English (which is what we're utilizing this course for).

Hi ,
I have requested the lab instance for same and previously I could see Now Assist AI Agents module and I could create an AI Agent. I paused by work and when I opened next day, I lost access to my lab instance and I requested new one. In the new instance althought Now Assist AI Agent plugin is installed and I have Turned on Now Assist Panel, I am still not able to see that module. Anyone who knows what else to do to create an AI Agent?

Good Morning Guys,
...meanwhile:
This course is being retired and replaced by the "Now Assist for Creator Essentials" course. So, you might want to head over there now and see the new and improved version.
I wish you a successful development day.🖥
