In this installment of our NOWSupport best practices series, we'd like to offer some great resources for learning more about the Service Catalog in Kingston. Here's a sneak peek at a few of the new features you'll find, but to get the whole scoop, you'll need to listen in to our podcast Techbytes ITSM Cast: Service Catalog on the Kingston Service Portal.
So what's new in the Service Catalog in Kingston?
Brand new landing page and new widgets
The brand new landing page for Service Catalog is friendlier and easier to use. Users can find what they need with a Search placed front and center, as well as a Browse by Categories option. New widgets include My Requests, My Saved Bundles, My Recent Items, and Popular items.
Wish Lists
To give users a more consumer-like experience, you can now enable a Wish List in your catalogs.
To enable Wish Lists for a specific catalog, users with the catalog_admin or admin role can open the catalog record and select the Enable Wish List checkbox.
Improved order guides
The new widget for the order guide offers better performance and a more intuitive user experience. Three stages of navigation guide requestors through the order guide process.
