We are using the release management v2 plugin. During the setup with the vendor we noticed that there was a Planned Start, Planned End, Actual Start, Actual End date fields available but not displaying on the any of the forms for releases. We thought it would be useful to see how our development was progressing so we asked why these fields were not on the forms by default. We were told by the vendor that these fields were deprecated in release as they were part of the change process. After thinking about this for some time now I'm not sure it makes sense as change is the last thing you do after you development is completed and there is no direct connection out of the box to even create a change from a release. Can someone confirm is what the vendor said is true?

It's definitely not deprecated and actually OOTB the dates are all displayed on the list view and on the form.

They also told us that there was a problem with the plugin install and it does not create the release view. That is was why some of the other related lists were showing like defects. Since we were not licensed for Schrum we could not use these tabs. I thought that it sounded correct because when I originally install it on my PDI that was on the release of New York it had a release view.

I also noticed that there is some sort of Dictionary attribute that make the start and end dates read only once the record has a child. But if you update that child record it does not rollup to the parent. But when you hover over the icon next to the read only field it make it sound like it should.
