How to Setup Now Assist for ITOM

Introduction 

This article will walk through how to install and setup Now Assist for ITOM to Enable Event Management users to view alert analyses generated by Now Assist for ITOM.

Requirements

• Licensing for ITOM Operator Professional+ or ITOM AIOps Enterprise+
• Install the Now Assist for ITOM store app

Setup Steps

1. Install/Upgrade Now Assist Admin Console app:
1. Navigate to All -> System Definition -> Plugins
2. Search for “Now Assist Admin Console” and upgrade/install
3. Click Install
2. Install Now Assist for ITOM app:
1. Navigate to All -> System Definition -> Plugins
2. Search for “Now Assist for IT Operations Management (ITOM)”.
3. Click Install
3. Navigate to All -> Now Assist Admin
4. If you have not activated the Now Assist Panel, navigate to Now Assist Experiences -> Now Assist Panel
1. Click 'Turn On'
5. Navigate to Now Assist Features, while still in the Now Assist Admin
1. Select Technology -> ITOM
2. Click on View details, click on ‘Turn on’ for the available skills. Ensure for the 'Select display' setup that 'In-product desktop' and 'Now Assist panel' are both enabled.
