Could somebody explain, or point me to the right direction in the documentation, how and on what criteria the "Absent" state is set by Discovery?
I suspect it to be a counter whichs add-up every time a succesfull discovery is launched to a specific CI (for example Oracle Instance) and the CI which is listed in the CMDB is not found. If so, where are those counters stored and on where to find the criteria listing it with the install_status=Absent.
Any help would be appriciated.

Do we have any newer information on Absent status flagging, cleaning, and/or a current link (the one link goes to the old wiki, RIP) ?
Regards,
Shaun

I was able to find this page: https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/reference/api/orlando/server_legacy/c_AbstractReconciler#r...
Hope that helps.
