ACC-V Agent classifies Linux Computer as Server

Hi,

we have installed the ACC-V agent on a Linux Computer.
The scan works well, but instead of a Computer with os "Linux" a Linux Server was created.

The scan also created a new hardware model with the model category "Linux Server".
My first step was to remove "Linux Server" as category and to add "Computer" in addition to this I have copied the Unix Classification for Linux (order number 110) and mapped it to Computer and gave it a lower number (10) that it will be executed first.

I copied the linked classification criteria as well.

Unfortunately without any success

Has anyone an idea how I can solve this issue?

Thanks in advance for your support

I would start on the ACC Agent site. What if it is desired behavior? (f.e. we have only Linux servers)

If ACC classify that machine as server, it has a reason for it.

Check what comes from the ACC itself. -> ecc_queue and then check what comes from the result of the ecc input for IRE: .service-now.com/sn_agent_disco_check_type.do?sys_id=d1a7aac322fc4badaf07cd1d368a705f&sysparm_view=

No, it's a client and the desired behaviour is that either discovery recognizes the CI class (Computer or Linux Server) or I can configure it.
It works for Windows why not for Linux?

Hi @Thomas Buecker

The serial number is not being populated, even after granting the necessary permissions. I’ve installed dmidecode using the following commands:

sudo yum install dmidecode

sudo dmidecode -s system-serial-number

In the below docs i didn't find information regarding Linux Server

Can you please help me out?
