Alert Aggregation: Is there wholistic documentation available?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently going through ServiceNow documentation trying to figure out how event management alert aggregation functions and is indented to function.

The problem I’m running into is a lot of the articles are very specific to individual topics and I haven’t run across any that pull everything together and explain why I would want to use individual features.

For example, Learned Patterns.

But what doesn’t seem to be explained is why do I care about learned patterned and how do I use them?

Does the system just automatically start using them when they are learned? Can they be migrated to other ServiceNow instances? Can you manually create a “learned” pattern or would that even make sense trying to do?

There are some documents like the “alert group types” which detail multiple grouping methods, says only one will be used and the order they are evaluated in.

Is there a community article like “Next Experience Center of Excellence”?

There is this one that I’ve found that is sort of getting there.

Thank you,

Josh
