Alert co-relation properties disabling

Hello Team,

I would like to know the impact and risk when we disable the alert co-relation properties for event management module.

Can some one let me know disabling this properties is good practice or not [ so far i know it is not] but i want to more about the risk factor in this case , so that i can do more analysis on this.
