Arista Discovery: Questions regarding the implementation

Hello everyone,

I have around 200 Arista IP switches that my client wants to start discovering as soon as possible. First thing, credentials need to be set up. So I am trying to understand how it can be achieved. Do I need access to management console for Arista? I have asked my client to get the port 161 open for discovery. But I need help with the credentials. If there is any documentation that can help me, please provide me.

Also if there is any out of box pattern, probe and sensor for Arista IP switch discovery, please provide me with that knowledge as well.

Thank you everyone for your support and time.

Hi @Komal39

Reg credentials you need to check with your networking admin who manages those switches and ask for the community password and add the cred and can do a Test credential with that IP to verify.

Reg the supportability, yes we do support and have OOB pattern "Network Switch" which can discover upto 23 models of Arista provider.

You can check this model list under "SNMP System OIDs" in the left navigator menu and filter with Arista manufacturer.
