We currently have around 2500 application services in the cmdb_ci_service_auto table.
We've been using those app services across Incident, Problem, Change, etc. for the past 8 years. We now want to implement tag-based service mapping.
We have a pretty solid stream of accurate tags being populating the cmdb_key_value table from Cloud Discovery. We now want to map these CI's that are tagged in the cmdb_key_value table to the EXISTING application service with out having to go through the application service wizard.
What is the best approach to automate tag-based service mapping to existing services?
I think i heard at Knowledge 2025 that this capability is planned for Zurich or Australia?
Is there script/job that will allow us to:
1) Read what has been defined in svc_by_tags_service_families and svc_by_tags_service_family_categories_m2m
2) Iterate through cmdb_key_value and create the tag relationships in the svc_ci_assoc
3) move the existing app service from the cmdb_ci_service_auto table to the cmdb_ci_service_by_tags table?
what am i missing?
