As alert volume keeps climbing, every additional service, tool, and integration adds more signals, while operations teams are left to sort through them manually. But good news, the AIOps AI Specialist is now out as part of the November 2026 release & ready to get to work!
Shift Left of IT Operations
In traditional IT operations, NOC team members are constantly fighting fires, but also filtering through the noise to even notice the high priority issues. Once an alert fires, an operator opens it, and only then does the search begin across various monitoring tools, change records, knowledge articles, and more. Every handoff restarts that search and eventually enough time elapses for a human to notice and open an incident.
Shifting left moves that work earlier, to the moment an alert arrives. The AIOps AI Specialist takes the first pass on every alert in its scope. It closes noise before anyone opens it, and the probable cause, affected services, and recommended next steps are ready for the operator to review. With the AI insights, operators are empowered to make informed decisions quickly rather than spending more time trying to understand what the issue even is.
AIOps AI Specialist Capabilities
The AIOps AI Specialist is an AI team member that is onboarded like any operator and works only on alerts that match the scope you define. It appears on the same dashboards as your people, so its work is visible alongside theirs.
It starts by reducing noise, closing alerts that don’t need action and explaining the reason with evidence for every closure. If alerts are significant, they can be reopened as feedback and reprocessed as a significant alert.
And for the alerts that remain, it identifies the probable cause, maps the impact across affected services, and suggests the next step. Additional insights from observability AI agents can be leveraged for analysis, learn more in this blog.
The specialist shortens the time to a decision, but it does not make the decision. It cannot change team configuration or system settings, every action is logged, and closed alerts can be reopened. Remediation requires human approval, and your people keep ownership of scope, approvals, and escalations. Check out this demo to see the AIOps AI Specialist in action!
Initial Feedback
Early adopters are already seeing results, some running the specialist in production since the summer! Organizations have reported their network operations analysts are able to understand and act on significant alerts faster and closing alerts automatically that the team would have otherwise done manually. It has also been reported that the new AI Specialist has contributed to a dramatic reduction in mean time to resolve and a meaningful drop in downtime after combining the specialist with automated, self-healing workflows.
