Hi All, We have some back up servers of make & model as Veritas & Flex 5340HA. Can this be discovered via ServiceNow discovery.

Are these Servers Appliances ?
These Backup Servers Runs on what OS?
How do u login / take remote on these Backup Servers?

Hi @Rahul Priyadars ,
Yes these are Appliances , OS on *nix platform. they take remote via cyberark-jump server- Putty(SSH).
Should I ask them to provide SSH creds with elevated SUDO rights, then it will be using *nix server pattern.
or should I ask them to enable SNMP and do SNMP discovery?

In our environment, we had 5 appliances like Fireeye, Gigamon which are based with Unix as base OS We used SNMP to discover them.
1) first we added SNMP Classifier by adding OID
2) Then pattern which had only identify section to pull basic attributes.
3) you can use SNMP table operations in pattern.
since these were appliances customer was ok to have limited set of attributes
