I am getting the following blacklisted errors when running the VMware scan. This is the first time I have created a schedule for vmware. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Ric,
What specifically are you discovering? ESX server or vCenter? Discovery discovers ESX server records by connecting to vCenter which is usually installed on Windows. A vCenter applicance can be supplied on Linux but discovery possibly wouldn't have access to the OS and would probably try the vCenter appliance management port if it found it open.
Further info on ESX discovery is at:
The actual message you are seeing is a temporary blacklisting of the IP address by the MID server if all the credentials failed. There is some info in the docs at the bottom of the following page:
When credentials fail, it puts the device IP into a blacklist for a few minutes. I think this is to prevent repeated attempts with incorrect credentials.
Regards,
Dave

Hi Richard,
I do a quick test by provide wrong SSH credentials when run discovery to one of Unix machine and I can simulate your issue:
On the list, you will find the device field that show you which device is having the problem.
If you click on the "ECC Queue" tab, you can check the "Unix - Classify" input payload
ie:
Click on the record and you will shown XML payload which give you more information
ie:
Check if the credentials is valid to login to the target box. In general, the error means MID server cannot find valid credentials in order for it to perform SSH command to target box.
I hope that give sufficient information to troubleshoot.
