I want to discover Cisco access points, and network team is not allowing access to SNMP port. They say netwotk communication happens with port 21 or 22. Can I use SSH protocol and identify CISCO Access Points or SNMP is the only option.

Hi @aishu3099
No,
These prerequisites must be in place for the Cisco WAPs extension:
- Permission to query the OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.2.2.1.1.
- The client must be able to run discovery patterns.
- The client must use a Cisco network switch.
- The client must have SNMP access to the Cisco network switch that controls the WAP devices.
Mark it helpful and accept solution!! If this help you to understand

No, it wont work via SSH. you should follow the SNMP path and Access Points will get the configuration from the Controller.

Actually you don't have to have access to WAPs at all, because OOTB Cisco WAPs are discovered through cisco switch, which acts as Wireless Controller.
If you will discover that switch (of course through 161 SNMP port and related credentials), you will have records in [cmdb_ci_wap_network] table.
