Can length of Discovery Schedule Name field be increased?

Can the length of Discovery Schedule "Name" field be increased? The default is 100 characters, but we are needing to exceed that in some cases to conform to naming convention used by Network team in their IPAM tool, and wanted to check to see if anyone has increased the length of this field before and if so, are there any side effects to be aware of? We were thinking to go to 255 characters, but 200 characters should suffice for our needs. Thanks in advance.

Hi @jamesmillet I think there is no issue in that if you increase max length . Steps to do

1. Go to system definition > dictionary

2. Search table name and column as shown below

3. open Dictionary entry

4. Click on Advanced view to see max length

5. Update as per your need

Thanks for the replies, my co-worker brought up this point:   On the Discovery Schedule form, when you right click on the "Name" and go to Configure > Dictionary, what you see is that Name field is inherited from Scheduled Job [sysauto], so the concern that was raised is: Won't this change in length affect all the other tables that extend sysauto and not just be updating the length in Discovery Schedule table? Name_Field.jpg
