CI's previously installed software version

When I update a software installed on CI(eg. server) and run discovery, the installed software tab shows the updated version info of the software.

How can I views the previously installed version history of a CI?

Hi @Thant Sin Nanda

You can go to the resp installed software record and can open audit history to see all previous updates.

Hi @SiD2

Thanks for the reply.

I try opening audit for Software [cmdb_ci_spkg] table and Software Instance [cmdb_software_instance] table.

When I make a discovery on a server and found software with old version, a record is created on Software table with that version. Software Instance table shows the server and software like software version1 is installed on that server. When I updated that software, a new recorded is created on Software table with that version. Software Instance table shows the server and software like software version2 is installed on that server. And previous record is deleted. So, opening the audit on the table is not helpful.

Please correct me if my understandings are wrong.

Thanks.

Hi @Thant Sin Nanda

Sorry but i'm unaware of this behavior and these tables seem to be populated by probes. I'm unaware of how those work and if it is expected behavior or not.

You can wait for what others have to say about this.
