Cisco Stacked Switch Discovery issues

We noticed, as many probably did that ServiceNow introduced issues with Discovery of stacked switches which is described in KB1117145.
The issue for us is we have hundreds of stacked switch components that have 2 issues to remedidate
1. Discovery is stale due to duplicate CI relationships created by previous Discovery attempts
2. No CI was created for the main/primary member of the stack, e.g. we have CI's named with the serial number appended, but not for the main member of stack without the serial number appended.
To fix manually, it takes about 10 per switch
1. Discovery to get the parent/child IDs so duplicate rel'ship can be deleted
2. ReDiscover and note that not all members of switch being Discovered
3. Delete serial numbers from switch CI
4. ReDiscover and verify all now discovered and 1 new CI created for the main member of stack
The solution provided by the script in KB1117145 is inadequate as it does not fix everything, so manual remediation is still required, which I find unacceptable due to the amount of work req'd by the customer for the number of stacked switches we have.
What are others doing to remediate or am I missing something here? Thanks!

@David77 - What version are you on? I read a KB that WashDC was supposed to fix our issues with Discovery of the Cisco stacked switches.
I am trying to determine if my stacked children nodes should have more data than they do, mine all connected to the main switch are missing data (the main switch has complete data):
Device type
Ports
IP Address
Fully qualified domain name
Physical interface count
SNMP Location
I was just expecting them to have more info associated with them. The main switch properly shows the Related Items and has all the stacked children. How does your display?

We are on Vancouver. The other switches in my stack ARE showing downstream relationships as seen in this screenshot
