We’re trying to map a Citrix-published, in-house application using Service Mapping, but it’s not completing successfully.
Setup:
• Entry point type: XenApp or Presentation Server Endpoint
• Filled in the Citrix StoreFront host, port, icon path, and logon URL fields
After running Discovery, we get:
“Failed to recognize application. See the Discovery Pattern Log for more details.”
And the Application Service stays Non-Operational.
This is a custom/in-house app, not a common commercial one, so we’re wondering if that’s why it’s not being recognized.
What we need help with:
• How do we fix this and get the application service to come up Operational?
• Do we need to create a custom pattern for this app, and if so, how do we go about that?
• Is there a simple way to check the Discovery Pattern Log to see exactly what’s failing?
Any step-by-step guidance would be really appreciated — we’re fairly new to Service Mapping.
