All,
My company is working with the Discovery Home and looking into the errors. However, our list of errors in the Automation Error Message ('automation_error_msg') table regarding unexpected errors is currently over 50,000 records.
After some further investigations, we found out the these errors are coming from devices that have already been removed some time ago. When we run discovery against the related IP addresses, there is now response anymore since the IP address is not used.
Question; How should we clean-up these old errors in the Automation Error Message ('automation_error_msg') table?
We do NOT wish to set these errors to 'Ignore' since we noticed that ones the IP address is back in use again by a new device, no errors will appear since we set the errors to 'ignore'.
Deleting them, based on when the record was initially created (over 3 month ago), the IP address NOT responding at all during discovery AND the IP NOT being related to an operational CI seems the best solution for us right now.
Anyone else using a different approach or a better suggestion on how to clean-up the Automation Error Message ('automation_error_msg') table?

Hi,
We faced the same issue. Once ignore that never pops up again for the same device.
We do delete them as well. So go for it.
Thanks,
Ashutosh
