Hi,
We are currently planning on using de-duplication module but we have an issue with correlation id being at the top of the identification rules on hardware table. Is it okay to remove/deactivate correlation id as top rule on hardware? I have never seen correlation id used as a unique identifier for any class. Please suggest.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi,
This is not true. It is used by SCCM to identify devices using correlation ID. If you change that then it will impact your SCCM integration if you have that.
You can change this if you have separate identification rule for Computer table.
Thanks,
Ashutosh

Thanks for the response. We do have custom rule for computer table so I would think this will not impact anything?

Hi,
you can change it but make sure you don't have other integrations making use of that.
Thanks,

Hi Rick,
My Sincere suggestion is don't update Identification rules. you may end-up having another issue if you update them.
Regards,
Vinil.
