I have found same IP address for the multiple CI's in Linux Servers CMDB. Is these a discrepancy or possible to happen.
Please explain the logic on this. Thanks

It all depends on your environment. Typically a VIP could be assigned to more then 1 server but you shouldn't see those from your typical discovery of interfaces and IPs. What could be happening though is if you haven't changed the out of the box discovery patterns then you might be seeing different DNS alias for IPs causing you to creating CIs that aren't truly there (out of the box it sets the name of the CI via what comes back from DNS not what is discovered from the host itself). This could cause the same IP to show up but I would actually think that identification would merge them into 1 CI and the name would just flip flop. Any chance you can give an example?

Hi @san1989
This is due to Multiple server Assigned with virtual IP which is wrong practice used by organisations.
You can ask for IP range or Physical IP tagged with that Linux server for discovery
