Why does the Configuration Item not get mapped from the Event to the Alert record?
Processing notes report:
Binding alert CI process flow:
Event CI type is empty
No CI found for binding (Failed to resolve the event node to CI id)
Binding Failure Reason: Failed to find the host with name:

ps
Node has been set to the name of the associated CI
I have also tried setting 'cmdb_ci' to the name of the associated CI
Both values are in the Event record but dont get mapped to the Alert CI field.
Binding alert CI process flow:
Event CI type is empty
No CI found for binding (Failed to resolve the event node to CI id)
Binding Failure Reason: Failed to find the host with name: xxxxx
This is all I can find on the subject

Hi
The CI should be in the cmdb_ci_hardware table or one of is extended tables.
Regards, Moshe

If the node is not properly mapped to a CI, or is not present, you may need to blank it out in the event form.
Then change the binding type (binding tab) to "CI field matching" and "Configuration Item"
Assuming you have some attribute (like asset_tag) that relates to the CI being pulled in as additional info, this _should_ work.
